Suddenly Ter Marsch & Co is an hamburger icon on the Witte de With straat in Rotterdam. Impossible to think they ever were not here in Rotterdam. When opening their doors silently, Ter Marsch & Co was an instant success. No nonsense (we Rotterdam folks just love no nonsense), great menu, nice service and a terrific atmosphere.
This place is definitely for the meat-eaters a go-to restaurant. Their entrecote is fabulous, so I’ve heard. I’m more a hamburger kind of girl. I’ve literally tasted all the variations on their menu. The Classic, The White and The Grande. This in combination with their homemade sauces… well it’s just delicious. And do you like some veggie’s to with your fries and burger? Of course that’s also possible. Changes daily, straight from the grill.
Luckily their opening hours are very flexible. Lunch, dinner or just for a nice drink later on in the evening. The kitchen closes at 10pm. But, even then Ter Marsch & Co offers a nice menu to go with your drink. Lucky me, and of course you!
Ter Marsch & Co is situated in a shop from an old Rotterdam preserved meat factory dated from 1890. Their interior has this eclectic loft kind of feeling with a classic twist. A brickstone wall, marble bar and a lot of wood. I really love the fact that the owner put the original stained glass window in the centre of attention. This just gives the place that special something, just like their hamburgers are special.
